🔺 History On The Mat! No. 1 Penn State wrestling shut out Rutgers in its Big Ten opener over the weekend, 46-0, in front of a soldout Rec Hall crowd!
With the win, the Nittany Lions have now won 78 consecutive duals, setting a new NCAA record!

🔺 Got The Gophers! No. 9 Penn State men’s hockey improved to 14-6 overall and 6-4 in Big Ten play over the weekend, sweeping Minnesota at Pegula Ice Arena and outscoring the Gophers 8-2 over the course of the two-game series!

🔺 One Up, One Down. No. 4 Penn State women’s hockey suffered its first loss of AHA play this past weekend, splitting a pair of games against Mercyhurst to push its overall record to 19-4 and conference record to 13-1.

🔺 Fought For It. Penn State men’s basketball once again took a top-5 team down to the wire over the weekend, traveling to No. 5 Purdue and dropping a close contest with the Boilermakers, 93-85.
Freddie Dilione V led the way for the Nittany Lions, scoring a career-high 25 points.

🔺 Fought The Illini. Penn State women’s basketball fell to Illinois on Sunday at the Bryce Jordan Center, 92-76.
Gracie Merkle scored a team-high 24 points for the Lady Lions, her sixth 20-point performance of the season.

🔺 Flipping Out! Penn State women’s and men’s gymnastics started their seasons with a bang on Sunday, with each earning victories inside Rec Hall!
The women totaled 196.225 team points in their win over Yale, the highest output in a season-opening home meet in program history, while the men took down Army with 311.300 team points.

🔺 Off And Running! No. 13 Penn State men’s volleyball kicked off its season with a pair of wins, taking down Mount Olive in four sets on Friday before sweeping Manhattan on Saturday!

🔺 In The Pool. Penn State swimming was back in the pool for the first time this calendar year over the weekend in Virginia, with the men and women dropping their contests against the Cavaliers.
